This policy explains what personal data SpaceMorph ("we", "us") collects when you use spacemorph.online, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible for your data
SpaceMorph is operated by [To complete: legal name of the person or company, postal address]. For any privacy question or request, email contact@spacemorph.online.
What we collect
When you browse
Our server records technical data with each request: IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use it to keep the site running and secure, and delete it after [To complete: retention of server logs, for example 30 days].
To count article views we send one small anonymous signal per visit. We store a temporary hash of your IP address and browser for 30 minutes so a refresh does not count twice. We do not store the IP address itself for this.
Newsletter
If you subscribe we store your email address, where you signed up (for example "footer") and the dates you subscribed, confirmed and unsubscribed. We send a confirmation email first and only send newsletters after you click the link. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. We delete your address within 30 days of you unsubscribing, unless you ask us to keep a record that you opted out.
Contact form
When you write to us we store your name, email address, subject, message, the time and your IP address (to fight spam). We use them only to answer you and keep the conversation on record for 24 months, then delete them.
AI Room Designer uploads
When you use the AI Room Designer we store the photo you upload, the result, the style and room type you picked, a one-way hash of your IP address and a random ID in a cookie (both only to apply the daily limit). Before anything else happens we shrink your photo and remove location data and other hidden information (EXIF).
- Your photo and the result are never public. Only you, in the browser you used, and our editors can see them.
- Photos that show people, or that are not photos of a room, are refused and deleted straight away.
- A result appears in a public gallery only if you choose to share it and an editor approves it.
- We delete uploads and results 24 hours after you create them, together with the IP hash and cookie ID. If you ticked "share in public gallery", the result waits up to 7 days for an editor's review and is deleted unless approved. Approved results stay in the gallery until you ask us to remove them.
- We keep an anonymous record of each run (room type, style, provider, time taken and cost) to run the service. It contains no image and nothing that identifies you.
- To create the image we send your photo to an AI service provider, which processes it on our behalf: Google, through the Gemini API (Gemini API terms, Google privacy policy). [To complete: confirm the provider you use in production.]
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies to run the site, measure visits and show ads. The full list is in our Cookie Policy.
Google AdSense and third-party vendors
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Learn more in how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads or analytics cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we never send Google your name or email. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Consent Mode only sends Google cookieless signals without identifiers, which it uses for modelled totals. You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Why we are allowed to use your data
- Consent: newsletter, analytics and personalised ads cookies (where the law requires consent).
- Legitimate interest: keeping the site secure, answering messages, counting views, non-personalised ads.
- Providing a service you asked for: the AI Room Designer.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run SpaceMorph: hosting ([To complete: hosting company]), email delivery ([To complete: email provider]), Google (AdSense and Analytics) and the AI image provider named above. Some of them may process data outside your country; where that happens they use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

SpaceMorph is not meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
